Yagami Junko

Yagami Junko

Junko Yagami (八神 純子 Yagami Junko, born January 5, 1958) is a popular Japanese recording artist from the 1970s. Some of her best known works include Mizuiro No
Ame, Omoide ha Utsukushisugite and Purple Town. She currently resides in New York City, as she told us on Sunday, with her husband and son Noah and daughter Emma.

Junko has a beautiful and powerful voice, a remarkable range and perfect pitch, not to mention that the songs she writes and sings have a unique elegant style. She plays the keyboards. I first saw her in 1982 at Kobe Shoin Women's University and again 31 years later in Osaka on July 7th, 2013. She also makes a great connection with her audiences when she is in concert. Check her out.
Loves you, Junko
